MDPPA holds product, branding seminar to help curb fake motorcycle parts

Q4 sales projections, 2026 forecast, and “No to Counterfeit” campaign also discussed

The Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association, Inc. (MDPPA) recently held two major events last November 4 aimed at strengthening consumer protection and forecasting industry growth as the Philippine motorcycle sector continues to expand.

The first event was a Product and Branding Seminar that was held at the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) Multi-Purpose Hall in McKinley Hill, Taguig City, designed primarily to capacitate the national coalition for the Intellectual Property Rights (NCIPR) Enforcers, whose members include delegates from NBI, PNP, PNP-DILG, BOC, & DTI. At the same time, it also aims to equip employees of MDPPA member brands and other stakeholders with the tools and knowledge to help them differentiate genuine motorcycle parts from counterfeit ones.

SNAP mobilizes relief operations for communities affected by Uwan

Isabela Provincial Administration receives relief assistance from SNAP on November 12, 2025.

In the aftermath of Typhoon Uwan, SN Aboitiz Power Group (SNAP) immediately launched extensive relief operations to support its host and neighboring communities affected by the typhoon.

Working closely with local government units (LGU) and community partners, SNAP has provided Php1.8 million worth of relief assistance from its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Fund to support around 2,494 families in its host and neighboring communities.

First-Ever Sensory Lab Opening Soon at SM Supermalls

In line with its mission to create a mall for all, SM Supermalls, through its corporate social responsibility arm SM Cares, will soon open the first-ever SM Sensory Lab at SM Mall of Asia. This dedicated space is designed to provide a calm and comfortable environment for individuals with sensory sensitivities, including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), sensory processing disorder (SPD), and anxiety disorder.

The SM Sensory Lab: Calming Corner is part of SM Cares’ advocacy for Persons with Disabilities, taking the next major steps to making every mall visit welcoming, inclusive, and compassionate. The space aims to offer visitors a moment of rest from overstimulating environments and ensure that every Filipino can enjoy a great malling experience.

Hope in Every Hue: SM Cares Champions Pink October 2025

Standing as a symbol of unity and hope in the fight against breast cancer, The Cube at SM Seaside City Cebu glows in pink during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

In celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, SM Cares, the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of SM Supermalls, united communities nationwide through its Pink October 2025 campaign — a month-long series of mall activities dedicated to promoting early detection, awareness, and support for breast cancer warriors, survivors, and advocates

This year’s celebration began with the pink illumination of the SM Mall of Asia Globe and The Cube at SM Seaside City Cebu, symbolizing solidarity and hope for thousands of women and families affected by breast cancer across the country. The glowing globe stood as a national beacon of support, marking the start of SM’s continued advocacy for women’s health and empowerment.

Iglesia Ni Cristo Conducts Worldwide Lingap sa Mamamayan

Across the globe, in both developed and underdeveloped  nations, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) continues to bring hope to those  in need by extending acts of kindness and love through various humanitarian and  socio-civic activities that benefit the underprivileged. 

In the recent Worldwide Lingap sa Mamamayan (Care for Humanity), the  Church Administration of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, led by its Executive Minister,  Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, expressed the Church’s deep care for the various  sectors of society that need help the most, touching their lives. 

It was not only in the poor countries in Africa, Oceania, South America, and Asia  where aid and care were extended by the Church members, but also to the  homeless, the elderly, and the poor in the developed nations of North America  and Europe.
