Let ‘Bayanihan’ reign on Bonifacio Day with Tayô Táyo: A We The Youth Vote Online Fundraising Concert

We The Youth Vote holds fundraising concert for the Samahan ng Nagkakaisang Pantawid ng Pamily

Admit it or not, 2020 has been a hard year for everyone in the world. In the Philippines, it started with the eruption of Taal Volcano in January, followed by the still on-going COVID-19 outbreak which has been resulting to not just a health crisis but an economic damage, and just recently, a series of typhoons that hit several areas in the country.

It is not an easy task but who else will help and inspire each of the most affected ones to rise up and move forward? Us, Filipinos through our very own custom ‘bayanihan.’ This is what We The Youth Vote (WTYV) wants us to be reminded of as the non-partisan group holds an online fundraising concert for the benefit of the Samahan ng Nagkakaisang Pantawid ng Pamilya (SNPP), an organizational community that champions the continued implementation of expansion of the government’s Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.

Coronavirus tracking website denies "resurrected" data

The coronavirus tracking website CoronaTracker.com denies any kind of information indicating that a certain individual indeed "resurrected" from COVID-19 in the Philippines.

A number of posts circulating in social media combines news reports with the CoronaTracker.com logo, alongside with the Philippine coronavirus data, displaying a "1 Resurrected First World Record" at the lower rightmost portion.

CoronaTracker.com does not report people "resurrected" from the coronavirus disease. The tracking portal only reports the number of COVID-19 cases, recoveries, and deaths per country.

Being Apart, Standing Together at the Mother of Online Free Concerts

Only four months ago, an online concert would have been an inconceivable idea, almost as inconceivable as a global pandemic, more inconceivable still is a free online concert like Tinig ng Bayan. With a talent lineup that would have been difficult to bring together even in pre-pandemic times, Tinig ng Bayan will probably be THE concert event of this time of adversity.

In the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we may not have flattened the curve yet, but time and again through it all, Filipinos have shown resiliency, perseverance, and even ingenuity. Thanks to COVID-19, we have learned to live, work and even have fun in different and even innovative ways. Perhaps the most ambitiously innovative concert in this time, the Tinig ng Bayan Concert will be a one of a kind testament to the indomitable Filipino spirit.

Press Statement on SEC Lifting on Advisory on DV Boer Farms

Vindication is such a sweet victory! This could sum up the general sentiment of DV Boer, a successful goat farm and agribusiness enabler, when the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) lifted the advisory on their Paiwi program.

"This will exonerate DV Boer in the eyes of our partners, investors, believers, supporters and the general public because no less than the SEC, the government agency tasked to oversee big businesses, has already cleared us without any exceptions. Our Paiwi program was designed to genuinely help boost Philippine agriculture thru organized livestock raising says Dex Villamin, the charismatic founder and president of the company established in 2014.
